Evolution!!!
Organisms have variations. Organisms overproduce offspring. They have to compete for limited resources. Those with beneficial variations get resources they need to survive and have babies. Those babies can inherit the favorable variations. The population will change over time. Voila.
Due to the rotating schedule some due dates might be changed. Please record actual due dates on the assignment sheet provided for you that details all the assignments for this unit. Remember, late work is 50% off the first day it's late with no credit after that.

Population Modeling Lab. Follow the Bozeman video guidelines to model populations, graph changes in allele frequency, and complete data analysis online.
You should turn in a report that clearly explains 1. What is Hardy-Weinberg 2. How data can show evolution 3. The original data and graphs collected (unique to you). 4. An explanation of how you changed the scenario to help it better fit Hardy-Weinberg restrictions or to fit Hardy-Weinberg restrictions less (population size, etc) 5. The data and graphs from your change. 6. An explanation of how your change affected the population and why. |
